Oh you beautiful dolls, part 2: Paul McCartney and band immortalized in Russia
Fans in Russia gave Paul McCartney a surprise gift a few minutes before the show he played in Moscow on Wednesday. Beatles.ru, a community of Russian-speaking fans with more than 20,000 members in Russia and around the world, presented the former Beatle and his band with a traditional Russian matryoshka doll. Commonly referred to in the West as nesting dolls, this is a set of dolls of increasing sizes placed one inside the other. The gift was a similar one as was given to Ringo Starr and his band in June.
