With A Little Help From My Friends
« on: June 24, 2011, 10:10:21 PM »

Ringo's vocals are pretty fine, but I'm just wondering what the song would've sounded like with Paul or John on lead vocals. The lyrics are obviously great, probably among my favourites on the album, and don't get me wrong, I love the fact that even George and Ringo were let to sing songs even that they were not as talented as Paul and John, it's a real proof that they were all great friends. So what do you think? Is the song good the way it is? Or they should've let Ringo sing another song on the album instead of this ?

This song was perfect for Ringo to sing.

Never thoguht about if one of the others sang it. It's just a gem and Ringo was perfect for it. I know he had some worries about the note at the end but it's sublme. Almost certainly the only sublime thing ever to come out of Ringo's mouth.

I like the Lennon desending guitar part just before Ringo hammers his toms that is the precurrsor to the part in Yer Blues!

No one but Ringo could have given this song the class it deserved. Btw, was this truly the last song that John and Paul wrote eyeball to eyeball?

Never really cared for the song all that much although its Ringo's shining moment. I always thought it was kind of depressing that Ringo's spotlight tune basically told us how bad he sucked. I hope he thanked the guys for that one.
