After how many minutes in the movie is this part? I'll have a look myself then.

It's from the 18th minute I think - it's only about 30 seconds long.

The instrument is called 'melodica'. My father's got one. And yes, what John is playing here does sound like the very first notes of Strawberry Fields, which he wrote 2,5 years later!

Yeah, George had a sore throat and Neil Aspinall stepped in his shoes for the rehearsals of the Ed Sullivan Show.

It's amazing to be able to hear which is the exactly moment when a song is born and the improvements ... his demos developing this song two years later are a good example ... from the same year, (S)he Said (S)he Said ones are another good one too ... I like the last ones specially ... 'cos I love that tune too ...  :)

There is a particularly interesting scene in their hotel room, where John is playing what looks like a small flute with a tiny keyboard attached. The amazing thing is the tune he's playing...
it sounds very much like the opening chords of Strawberry Fields!! Have a listen and tell me what you think! I swear I'm not hearing things!

Yeah, I know what you mean and that's what I immediately thought when I heard it first...seems he had the intro of Strawberry Fields on his mind already...

I love that scene on the train with George and John. 'Have you got a cigarette for me please....A Marlaborogh with a microne finger....a big cigarette for a big man....

Watched this again and again for it makes me laugh every time I see it. See how simple knitted I am? It's THAT easy making me laugh. All I have to do is to convince people to play John for me.

You saying "knitted" reminded me of that scene in A Hard Day's Night - "she knitted him!"

You haven't got the train snippet with Georgie and John doing the cigarette bit, by any chance? - love it!

I just bought the DVD. Thank God I found it at HMV. I already watched the whole thing on YouTube, but I had to get it when I saw it was available on DVD. Does anyone else have this?
