Mines been gone since 1990 and I miss him too. We all have done things we regret but forgiveness is universal!

Edit - In NZ it is in September, so I wasn't entirely wrong

I lost my dad 2 years ago yesterday. He took me to my first baseball game when I was 8, and allowed me (along with my mom) to watch the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. Just 2 of the many great things he did in his life.

My dad's been gone for 24 years but I couldn't imagine a different one. He died too young at 68 but it counted in my eyes!

He certainly raised a fine son! My dad's been gone 29 years and like your dad he was way too young at 66. He had some tough times throughout his life but especially the last six years when he was unable to talk as the result of a stroke. He dealt with a lot of frustration but he remained a kind and loving man right up to the end. I still miss him every day.

I gave some specialty hot sauce to my stepfather and he was quite pleased. Would you believe I could only find ONE stepdad card at the drugstore? How pathetic. this is 2014.

This is such a beautiful—in my opinion, at least—father–son song. The lyrics genuinely touch my heart even though I am the mother, not the father, of a son. Father–son dynamics are so special. :)
So, an early happy Father's Day to the Australian dads here (I know there are at least a handful: Moogmodule, nimrod, stevie, perhaps others?), and a belated Happy Father's Day wish to all the other dads (and uncles, etc.). You are appreciated.
