That was fun. Thanks HG. I think for a dedicated Beatles fan most will be recognised pretty quickly. But there’s two or three which are a bit trickier.

Thanks for sharing that, Barry; it was indeed fun. I got a little nervous at first because I had trouble with the very first two and was starting to think, "Yikes, am I really a Beatles fan?"  :)  But after that everything fell in line. It's always nice to challenge the brain a bit.

I think the one second loops made things more difficult.  Hearing a non-looped one second clip makes it easier to identify the song.  Play along with this young lady and see how well you do...

She knew her Beatles songs alright!  See how sometimes she continued singing the lyrics until she came up with the song's title.  She did well with the instrumental clips as well.

I agree; the constant repetition overstimulated me and made it harder for me to concentrate. I paused it a few times. Was that cheating?  ;D

I somehow found this set of clues easier to identify. Perhaps that's because I already had some practice.  :)

The one that got me in the second quiz was Do You Want to Know a Secret. A Taste of Honey was the first thing that popped into my head. As they both start with a single strummed minor chord I’ll forgive myself

It was fun as well. They try to fool us by using some of the most obscure songs. Or snippets from them that don’t necessarily form part of the core of the song.

I just went through the whole thread. Those were fun but ashamed to say I didnt get a lot of them. On the funny side, the snippet from Step Inside Love (from the post above), sounds like a mosquito!

That was the only song I couldn't identify.

You must have really large mosquitoes down there in New Zealand, KE!   ;D
