Today, on 24th of Fabruary, on Mr. George Harrison's birthday, each one of us can replay on this topic by saying an interesting fact about George, that the others may not know. :)

An interesting George fact? I love the anecdote by one of his teachers, who found it remarkable George was one of the Beatles. Here he was, world-famous, and his teacher remembered him sitting at the back of the class, never speaking, never looking up to make eye contact with anyone.

Yeah, he claimed later in life he was actually born on the 24th, so every year many of us just observe both days! He's special, he's entitled to two birthdays! ;)

Me too. It was so nice to be with a whole bunch of other people who share that sentiment. Many of us stayed until the end of the credits and then sang Happy Birthday to George. I loved it.

incredible that he has been gone for 17 years, wow. He shares his birthday with my youngest daughter, she turned 16 Sunday. It is a running joke, when I first see her on her birthday I remind her it is George's birthday.

Well, we were sitting in the first row in the balcony, where there’s lots of leg room. There was this guy sitting across the aisle and he was all alone. Apparently he wanted to keep it that way because he wouldn’t let another guy sit in his row. The other guy pleaded “But I’m 6’2; I need the room!” So naturally I thought the first guy was kind of a jerk. But after the credits ended he initiated the singing. So I left with a better opinion of him. Then there was the lady who came in and sat in our row. After her friend joined her and another random lady joined them she announced that if anyone wanted to know anything about George just ask because she knew everything. Those three talked the entire time: “Aw...there’s _______” and “Oh...he’s gone too” and “Well, who’s that??” etc. But I couldn’t get too irritated because I knew we were all there for the same reason:

I feel the same way about 9/11, Kelley. I believe you and I briefly touched on this here a few years ago. 9/11 was, well . . . 9/11. My mother passed on 9/12/05, and a good friend of mine passed on 9/13/19. Such a sad stretch.
That said, happy birthday, George. :)

truly is crazy how time flies - I remember the hoopla around all the 50 year anniversary of Beatle events, Ed Sullivan, album releases etc. We are less than a year away from 60 year anniversaries now and with all the boys now or would be now in their 80's that is crazy to grasp.
