They're and 80's English heavy metal band. NOT hair metal. I used to be into them big time. I saw them like 3 or 4 times. Can't remember. Eddie was cool to see live! I still have my British Metal Onslaught concert T with the neck cut out. Very 80's. I probably still have their albums somewhere in a box. I'm not so into them anymore. I saw Bruce Dickinson on one of those VH1 things not long ago and he looks better now than he did then. Very handsome! Great voice too.

Before the haircut.

Not my cup of tea either. I'm going to run to the hills before I get lectured.

(sorry, terrible joke)

I think Iron Maiden are the second coming of Black Sabbath in a way as somebody said on a show on VH1 a while back. I'm not a dedicated IM fan at all but my favorite songs by them are Flight Of Icarus, Number Of The Beast & Wasted Years.  I saw Iron Maiden with Quiet Riot as the opening act at the height of Metal Health mania way back in 83 & some of the rock fans left after QR's set.

They were ok back in the 80s when I was 16 or so, but I soon discovered Stevie Ray Vaughan in 1983. Most metal bands were hard pressed to keep up with SRV's Texas-blues guitar work.
