my top 5 would be something like:

1-Zeppelin
2-Van Halen
3-Who
4-Stones
5-ACDC

most of those band aren't even hard rock...Queen...The Floyd...Cream..The Doors??? whats up with that?

I really don't like hard rock (I'm much more into punk rock and pop), but I still managed to find about 20 bands in that list that I like, so these people must have a much wider definition of the therm 'hard rock' than I have...

i couldnt believe how low the Stones were.  They created one of the original hard rock anthems.  i watched this marathon last night, it played for like 6 hours on VH1

Beatles are regular rock and roll, not hard rock. But you are right about Helter Skelter.

You got to be kidding me. There are a lot of things wrong with the list, but I don't feel Motley Crue deserves to be in the top 100, never mind top 30.

I watched it last night too, which is why I thought to post the list. It cracked me up that Floyd and the Doors were considered hard rock! But when you listen to the people talk, it makes sense. Again, the Who should be higher and the Stones being so low is insane!!!!
