Definately one of the most underratd songs of Help! I absolutely love it, the accent of Paul in it and the great sound make this a great song.

A gem of a song, that's what I'd say. Very cool intro too. Great opening track for Rubber Soul US..fits the album with it's folksy C&W charm.

I've always loved this one.
And loved just as much WINGS' rendition.
Great how in ROCK SHOW they were all sitting on stage and just sang their hearts out.

I like it a lot. Would the style of this song be considered rockabilly? PC? Anyone?

I've Just Seen A Face is actually in my top 5 Beatles songs because it's the one that made me fall in love with them.... before that, I thought the Beatles were all right, but that sealed th deal. So it's definitely up there as one of my absolute favorites. :) It's so beautiful.

It reminds me of Simon and Garfunkel when he does the various whatever-you-call-thems after each verse...

Definately great folk. Great song.

The songs on the Help! Album are quite possibly their greatest "earlier" tunes. And I think "I've Just Seen a Face" is a really great track. You can't help but want to sing along to it. I think the tempo of the song is very upbeat and in a sense uplifting. I love the chorus!
I agree with all of those who said it's a very under-rated song!! Defintely one of my favorite songs.
I think that another song which happens to be VERY under-rated (even though it does NOT belong to the Help! album) is the song "I Will" from The White Album. Would anyone agree with that?

It was a very big influence on the Monkees' sound too!! Seriously! ;D

I think it has a bit of a country folk sound to it. The day this "Rubber Soul" lp came out I listened to it numerous times and it occured to me that the Beatles had become more introspective. Drive my Car wasn't on my Lp and the whole "rock" feel was gone and replaced by a mellower sound. It had a country type of feel with a little folk included. The black turtle necks and suede coats had taken over the Beatles look! As so many times before and later they had re-invented both their musical style and looks!

I think a little more of a Folk/country sound. As was quite a few songs on this LP. I read in some reviews that the Beatles had become  enamoured with American western movies and this was a big influence on their song writing at the time!!!!

MrMustard is absolutely right, it really sounds like Simon and Garfunkel to me. But which came first, Simon and Garfunkel or Paul's song - were the duo established when Help was being made? Could Paul have been influenced by Paul Simon here? It certainly makes an interesting change as a Beatles song.

Currently, I've Just Seen A Face is my favorite Beatles song.

It took ten years but Paul finally took a lesson from groups like these...

I think Paul was keenly aware of what and who was going on around him. Also feel a Simon and garfunkle influence with Bridge Over Troubled Waters and Let It Be, Have You Ever been Experienced and Helter Skelter. IMO

I've Just Seen a Face is one of those timeless songs and I would have liked it on the English Rubber Soul (like on the US release) and Wait released back on Help when it was recorded. I think that would have stopped the leak twords the end of Rubber Soul and maybe would have it considered the greatest Beatle Album ever. But... such is life. Auntie Gin would be proud!

^Thank you so much for the amazing video!  ;D

As for my thoughts on this song....I am insanely in love with it. I think it's my favorite Beatles song, certainly top 3. It's my mom's too, so we sing it together all the time and when I play it on guitar. It's like our thing. I saw Paul live in PA in August 2010, and he played this song. I about died of happiness when I heard that opening guitar. My mom unfortunately wasn't with me, so I called her and let her listen to it over the phone! She was so happy! I promised her I would do that if he played it. But I didn't expect him to 'cause it's not one of his usuals. I got an amazing surprise.

Anyways, I think this song is just so happy. It displays perfectly what it feels like to fall in love. Listen closely to the lyrics. I think it has an unusual rhyme scheme and a different kind of way of flowing along, and it kind of pulls you along. There's really no other song like it in the Beatles' entire catalog. I wish the Beatles had done it live.

I love it when they do it in the movie Across the Universe as well. It was captured perfectly and I'm so glad the director was smart enough to include it.

^Yeah, thanks  :)

It was so loud in there that I had no clue if she answered the phone or not or if it had went into her voicemail or something. So I just yelled into the phone "Mom! I don't know if you're there! Can you hear this!?" Apparently she was talking back to me and I couldn't hear it at all. So I just held the phone up for her to hear it, lol.
