I wrote something of this in some other post, but nobody was interested in agronomy and fruits :-)
Here's something I keep in my office:
Yeah, great couch!
Obviously doesn't have cats!
I read it! Sorry if I didn't reply! (blush)
Logo on Apple isn't just any apple. It's Granny Smith apple.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Granny_SmithGranny Smith apples are a light speckled green in color, though some may have a pink blush. They are crisp, juicy, tart apples which are excellent for both cooking and eating of the hand. They also are favored for salads because the slices do not brown as quickly as other varieties. A Granny Smith Apple usually has a slightly more sour, sharp flavor than other apples. It also tends to have a harder texture than other green apples, posing problems for denture wearers.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_RecordsA Granny Smith is the apple used on labels for Apple Records.I wrote something of this in some other post, but nobody was interested in agronomy and fruits :-)
I read it. But I thought this thread was about The Beatles logo?
No it's fine Rax, but we've done that not so long ago.
I think I'll opt out of this thread. I'm not in the mood for you this afternoon.
That is bloody lovely!!! You really have that in your office?
Thanks! Yes, I do. There's a graphic artist down in Atlanta, Georgia that recreated Ringo's 1964 - Ed Sullivan Show drumhead for me. He's a big Beatles fan himself.....I should email him to join this forum. He took a 20" Remo head and hand painted the Beatles and Ludwig logos on it as was done on Ringo's original. He added a period-correct Remo "Weather-King" decal as well. He sent me a Ludwig 1960s Black Oyster Pearl hoop and hardware to complete the effect. I think he did a great job. Right, no cats or dogs.
You're right - he did do a great job, such attention to detail! What a great thing to have on the office wall!
Cool - do the apples resemble the Apple label?
