Heather becomes vegan

The last sentence says Linda was a patron of VIVA, which I think shows that Heather is trying to emulate Linda.

Thoughts on the article?

I've got nothing against her for it. Shows her love for Paul and animals.

I just hope she will be true to her word.

I went veggie because of my girlfriends (religious) beliefs. Her previous boyfriend was also a veggie. Does this mean I'm trying to emulate him?
I think you're being a little harsh.

I believe veganism is a part of the Hindu and Buddhist religions.

^I was just going to say that. Good show.

Anyway, I don't think Heather is necessarily trying to emulate Linda. (Even if she is, she's failing horribly.) She's just accepting Paul's views, just like he got into her landmine causes.

I thing going vegetarian or vegan is always good, no matter what your reasons are.

In fact, I know a guy who's vegetarian because he hates animals and thinks they're not worthy of coming into his body. :)

Her religion is Janism, a hindu offshoot from north India. They regard all life as sacred. In extreme cases (like her grandmother) they won't eat root vegtables because of the bugs they will kill in the process, so tucking into a steak is a big no no.
It always blows my mind that in her parents house they've got a totally modern lifestyle, yet there's a little shrine under the kitchen sink with candles and an elephant God.
The men drink like fish though and her granny's a junkie - twice a day she needs a fix of some kind of chewing "tobacco." Bless.

I have nothing against vegans or vegetarians. My friends in Indiana are vegetarians. I just feel that she is trying to emulate Linda. Maybe she's not.

Nothing wrong with wanting to emulate Linda, though. She was a great lady. I try to emulate her in some respects.

I think I'm trying to say that she seems to be doing this to try to replace Linda.

Oh. Well, no one could ever replace Linda.
