« on: December 04, 2004, 10:39:50 PM »

Hi.

I'd like some advice from you Ringo fans, where is the best place to start his solo career? His three best albums say?

Cheers people.  ;)

The best place to start Ringo's solo career for a first timer would probably be-

"Ringo"
"Goodnight Vienna"
"Rotogravure"

I personally like 'Ringorama'. 'Vertical Man', and 'Times Takes Time' the best out Ringo's solo stuff, but the above three are good starting points.

PS- 'Beaucoups of Blues' was good but had the country theme happening. 'Sentimental Journey' had that 40's theme to it and not the rock-n-roll stuff.

Just my opinion!

I would say Blast From The Past is one of the best albums by Ringo as a solo artist even though it's a greatest hits compilation with Ringo & Goodnight Vienna as the other two.  I would agree with tkitna that his latest albums are some of Ringo's finest moments as well with Time Takes Time, Vertical Man & Ringorama.
