Yesterday will always be associated with him. I think when the day comes and he is gone, this will be the one. I also agree with 834 'My Love' will be in there for his years with Linda.
For me personally it would be 'Live and Let Die'.

solo wise, i'm not sure. he's written so many classics in my opinion.
But i agree that 'Yesterday' will be the song everybody will remember him by
i think, 'It's too well known'

i can picture it as yesterday, on the day he dies i reckon some show like gmtv will show a montage with him through the beatles years to present day with yesterday in the background.

It'llprobably be a slow one, maybe here, there and everywhere, maybe im amazed, let it be.

I always thought of "Maybe I'm Amazed" as being seen as Paul's magnum opus solo song, so I'd say that.

The absolutely amazing thing about McCartney is that he has many signature songs!

Silly Love Songs has been referenced in many different ways for years now.  I've seen Band On The Run used in many different media, Maybe I'm Amazed was used by Hallmark on some of their greeting cards, My Love is automatically associated as the Linda connection, Live And Let Die, etc.

It gets overlooked and doesn't get the true credit it deserves, but the truth is McCartney doesn't have just one signature song but many!
