Wings had several minor hit singles on the US and UK Charts between 1975 and 1979 , so which of these songs is your favourite ? Lesser Wings Hit ? :)
PS i know Girl's School was a 2 million seller in the UK , but in America it was released as an A side only the states missed out on Mull Of Kintyre .

Ive voted for " London Town " it reached # 60 in the UK and # 39 on Billboard .
Having watched the video for it on The McCartney Years , i think it's a great little single and should have been a bigger hit on both sides of the Atlantic , it's one of Paul and Denny's better songs, and is very underrated in my opinion ? :)

Man this is a tough one. At this moment in time...I can't decide! But I have to say its between London Town and Letting Go. I love them both, but I don't know which I like more.

I had the same problem Wordno , i was struggling with " Letting Go " and " Old Siam Sir " which i both love , but the video for London Town did it for me :)

Getting Closer

Me too, i love them both but i'll vote for Old Siam Sir, such a great rocker!!
i wish he do that live these days! i'd love to hear it with his recent band! :)

Im not sure he could do the vocal these days Andy ? One of the things i like about " Back To The Egg " though is that it's maybe the last time Paul really pushed himself vocally over an entier album it's got some great vocal rocker's on it , and Old Siam Sir is the best he sounds like a " Mad Braying Donkey " on this track ? :)

Ever wondered if that's the last time he was able to sing like that? He was 37 when that was recorded. By the time you're that age you've really got to look after your voice, and I expect his vocal chords had been mildly shredded over the years.
-
Is voice is'nt bad for his age today, but if you go back to Egg it's also not got the power he had then .
-
Forgot to say, I voted for 'Letting Go'.
-
Letting Go for me :) with Girls School & Old Siam Sir following suit
-
London Town and I've Had Enough. Two of my favourites from Wings.
-
'Getting Closer' (Pauls voice never sounded this good. Ever.)
I did have to sit here and decide 2 or 3 different times between 'Getting Closer' and 'Old Siam Sir' though.

Me too, i love London Town. I've been listening to it quite a lot these days! :)
-
I think London Town is a great album , it's like a Secret Garden you can escape to for an hour. :) ;)
-
Letting Go. A punch in the face for those who say they never matched Beatle quality during their solo years.

Possibly my favourite Macca solo song. Some people have mentioned London Town, and I have to confess that I've never heard it! :o

Well London Town is only a few month's short of 30 years old , so i think you have waited long enough for it to be discounted BlueMeanie .
You should check it out , it's quite a good album, much more mellow than there other albums and some great co-written songs from Paul and Denny 5 in total .
There is a folky feel to this album which i love and Paul does one of his best production jobs .
It's well worth a listen BlueMeanie and i would welcome your very late review of it ;D

You setting me up for a challenge? ;)
-
Looks like it ;) but i would be interested to hear what you think Blue Meanie.
-
That's true, specially because its length is almost an hour!
What a long record, right!? With Mull of Kintyre and Girls' School added, could be easily a double album! :)
-
I voted for London Town. Its a lovely song and I can clearly remember when it first came out.
-
It's Girl's School for me! The hardest rocking Wings song ever, and one that McCartney should be performing right now today!
These are the songs McCartney should be sharing with the world when he tours, instead we get yet another Beatle heavy setlist! Someone, anyone, let McCartney know it's time for a serious setlist change!
-
Good question! I'm gonna have to go with "Old Siam, Sir," followed closely by "Getting Closer," "Arrow Through Me" and "I've Had Enough."
-
"Letting Go." One of Paul's best songs for Linda. :)
