6 June 1960: Gerry & The Pacemakers
« on: June 06, 2010, 09:46:11 AM »

Half a century ago (=Monday 6 June 1960), The Silver Beetles played their second gig at Corporation's Grosvenor Ballroom in Liscard, Wallasey (=Wirral Peninsula). Gerry & The Pacemakers were on the bill as well. So..., does anybody know if it's still possible to contact any member of Gerry & The Pacemakers band??  ???

Thanks in advance and best wishes!! ;)

Note that it's PACEmakers, not PEACEmakers.

Gerry's brother Freddy passed away in December 2006. But Gerry's alive and kicking and even busy with a live album. In 1960 the Pacemakers were Gerry, Freddy, Les Chadwick and Arthur McMahon, who was replaced on piano by Les Maguire around 1961.
