Anyone read "Turn Me On, Dead Man"?
« on: February 21, 2005, 10:19:38 PM »

I'm reading it right now and it's quite interesting. It's about the Paul is dead hoax of the late 60's. It's pretty good, I would choose this over something like "The Walrus Was Paul", it's almost written like a novel. Plenty of pics and cool facts I would suggest it if you want to research the hoax.

I bought "The Walrus Was Paul" from the author who was at the Beatlefest in Chicago in '95. It sucks. Same old stuff and most of it was just lifted from Nicholas Schaffner's book "The Beatles Forever" pages 127-129. The only clue in there that made it worthwhile was the Sgt. Pepper drum clue, which I had never seen before, so that was pretty cool. I don't know how many more books or new clues they can come up with, its been beaten to death.

Right you are, Barry Burton from the Resident Evil series.

"The Walrus Was Paul" was very poorly written and it seemed like the author believed in the hoax a bit too much.

just because the book sucked doesn't mean Paul didn't die.
and if he didn't die...was it a manufactured hoax ? They never seemed to deal with it in The Anthology now did they ? It was a part of Beatle history.

It looked really interesting, but I probably won't buy it.  :-/
