Beatles remasters to be released on vinyl

Fab Four's 12 studio albums, plus Magical Mystery Tour and Past Masters compilations, to be reissued on vinyl in November. The Beatles' back catalogue is being released on vinyl – again. The group's remastered albums, reissued in 2009, will finally be available on 180g vinyl from 13 November.

50th Anniversary Special Limited Release of “Love Me Do” single on Parlophone

To commemorate the October 5, 1962 release of the very first Beatles single on Parlophone records, the disc is being faithfully reproduced as an extremely limited replica of the original release. Parlophone R-4949 contained “Love Me Do” on the A-side and “P.S. I Love You” on the B-side and will be available on it’s 50th Anniversary date of October 5, 2012 at selected Beatles merchandise outlets including Amazon.com (pre-order here).

Final curtain for the place where legends played

I SURELY can't be the only one to have shed a few tears this week at the start of work to demolish the beloved Odeon Cinema in Nottingham's Angel Row.All right, tears might be putting it a tad strong, but I definitely sniffed a bit.

The Best Of The Post-Beatles

For the total lack of Ringo we make no apologies – the toneless ‘Savoy Truffle’ that was his 1971 hit ‘It Don’t Come Easy’ was his only shot at this list, and even that isn’t fit to suck the piles off of ‘Mull Of Kintyre’. But in compiling a list of the best songs by post-Beatles Beatles, you have to start by nodding to those hardy tunes that nearly made it.
