I know what you meant. I meant I prefer the version of it that's on Anthology 3.

I like Hey Jude better too- I think it was really sweet of Paul to write it for Julian. Plus the ending is so catchy...... (musicnotes)

To me...
THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD
is Paul's best, Beatles' best and World's best song ever. It's not a joke. To me is the greatest song ever wrote.
And from his most recent albums, I think Your Loving Flame, Jenny Wren and You Tell Me are masterpieces too. I love Paul's sad/love songs.

Yesterday is a fantastic beautiful song & it always makes me cry.
But as a best Macca song ever, i'm not sure. There's too many best Macca songs i love,
Long & Winding Road (y'right Wingsman!
), How Kind of You, Distractions, Another Day,
Somedays, Beautiful Night, Hey Jude, She's Leaving Home, Blackbird, For No One, .........
as you can see i can't stop, there's just toooooooo many!!

The recording of Yesterday is fantastic. A detail that I don't know if anyone notice is that after he sings the first "Yesterday..." you can listen clearly how a microphone (probably his micro, right?) has been "open" (is that the right expression?), and you hear that atmosphere of backing sound, something like 'wind' sound, it fits really good in the recording. I don't know if I've been clear, but whatever.
