Like maccalvr sez, Joe started out fine, but what tore it (I think) was he was a right-winger in a room full of lefties, and for some people politics is a very flammable subject.  From politics it degenerated into other sensitive areas, and then no one could really take back what was said.  he took himself too seriously.  Which is too bad, becuase he had plenty to offer-Beatle wise.

lol i know it was deceptive.  alright then   wots the deal vs Wish You Were Here.  both very similar, very soft acoustic numbers.  Wish You were Here gets my vote becaus eof the "did you exchange a walk on part in the war, for a leading role in the cage" line.

I've never heard Wot's uh the deal!! I don't have Obscured By Clouds. Now I'm dying to hear it. But I heard that's not that great an album. Nothing can beat Wish You Were Here though!! It's perfect.

I dont have obscured by the clouds either i downloaded wots the deal(I'm a bad boy).  Its a terrific song, in my top 5 floyd alltime.

Obscured By Clouds has a couple of great songs.

Dark Side is the perfect album tho.  They never could top it.

yeah, although On the Run is weak, that is a great album (its #1 on my alltime list).  With every Pink Floyd album I listen to, I hear great things but never anything like Dark Side.  Not to say their others arent good to.

Dogs is the best extended track I've ever heard.  17 minutes long and i never get bored.
