His original work is much better than his present work. Mad Man Across The Water, Honkey Chatue, and Tumble Weed Connection all eclipse his past 20 years of music! (only my opinion)

I love Elton John. And yeah, his early work is the best as it is with a lot of these guys. I missed seeing him in concert once again this year. Bummer.

I'll consider getting a greatest hits compilation as soon as I see one on sale somewhere. That's as far as I'll go.

A lot of his best stuff isn't on the best of CDs. I have two best ofs, and I still had to buy his other albums to get all the songs I wanted. But that's just me. I happen to love his stuff. Although I think I've made myself sick of him finally because I can't seem to put in any of his CD's for the last couple of months.

I just saw him in Milwaukee about one month ago and it was great. He did a 10 minute version of 'Rocket Man' that was unreal. Gave the song a whole new twist. I always go just to hear "Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding". Davey Johnstone is an incredible guitar player. Nigel Olsson is back with him these days.

I love Elton. Tumbleweed Connection is a top 5 of all time for me. I've seen him twice in concert and he was great both times.

I like Elton John. I'm not a big fan, but I like some of his songs, like "Crocodile Rock", "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", "Your Song", "Bennie and the Jets", and some others. :)

Elton John is one of my all time fave artists... I saw him live back in May and I enjoyed every minute of it.
My fave songs are: Philadelphia Freedom, Someone saved my life tonight & I'm still standing.

I love Elton a lot, I have over 15 EJ albums, and yes, his early work, the famous 'Classic Years' 1970-1976 are of the best of his work, but consider that since Songs From The West Coast (2001) he's making great records again. Although it's really sad that he can't reach those high notes anymore...

Elton John's a fantastic musician & piano player.
He wrote brilliant stuff throughout the 70's & 80's i think but
i don't rate a lot of his stuff in recent years. I woundn't mind seeing
him live because he always seems to put on a brilliant show!  :)
I love the Yellow Brick Road album & remember playing my mum's
old vinyl copy when i was about 10 (or somewhere round there) :)
Yes, i did buy my own cd copy i the end.  :)
