Sweet Lord! I've never seen that kit before. It is humongous. Thanks for the pics and interview. Fantastic!

Quote from: Maccalvr

Moonie gets respect from people who know better. A lot of people just remember him for his wild life style. But then, those people are usually just casual rock fans or something. Actually, I think a lot of people don't even know who Keith Moon is anymore! AH!

I'm just basing my opinion on experiences i've had talking about rock drummers. Moon's name is always one of the first mentioned. Many times by people that arent really into drums.

Speaking of early large sets, I wish I could blow this picture of Hal Blaine up as its the only time i've ever seen him use the double bass kit.

I'm so honoured that Moonie trashed a hotel room in my state for his 20th, man! ^^;;

I wanna know how he can even reach those drums to the far right of him! His arms aren't that long. And I think it's funny how he used the one big floor drum to the left of him as a little table. He'd keep water and stuff there. I think there's a set list on it in that pic up there.

Didnt know he was on MMT, how cool. He is my favourite musical icon ever, just ahead of John Lennon. I read his bio (Dear Boy), and loved him even more for it. Ah what a great guy.

I've heard him sing...it's less than okay. He wanted to sing harmony to Happy Jack, but they wouldn't even let him in the studio. But still. I never heard about Ringo being Uncle Ernie?? Keith was born to play Uncle Ernie. He wanted to be an actor, so I think he was their first choice. It was some other rock movie that Ringo got over him. Then Keith played the same character or something in the sequal. Something like that. Ringo was the bigger name. That's why he got it. Not Ernie though.
