Worldwide, they need to sell a further 13 million to catch the Eagles Greatest Hits (assumed the Eagles set would stop selling from now on).

In the U.S., things are different, here "1" would have to sell some 20 million additionally to catch the Eagles` Hits album.

Here`s another interesting statistic. This time it`s by SoundScan - this is the list of the best-selling acts in the history of the SoundScan era (since June 1991, United States only).

Dig this, the Beatles are the best-selling group of the last 13 years!

(rank, million units, name)

01. 65 Garth Brooks
02. 46 The Beatles
03. 46 Celine Dion
04. 44 Metallica
05. 42 Mariah Carey
06. 39 George Strait
07. 33 Kenny G
08. 32 The Backstreet Boys
09. 32 Pink Floyd
10. 31 Shania Twain
11. 30 N'Sync
12. 30 Alan Jackson
13. 29 Pearl Jam
14. 29 U2
15. 28 Aerosmith
16. 28 Tim McGraw
17. 27 Eric Clapton
18. 26 Reba McEntire
19. 25 Dave Matthews Band
20. 24 Britney Spears
