Neat videos! I've never seen the second one. Joe Brown looks so young and it was fun to see the kids trying out the new records. There's lots of cool videos on the British Pathé website: http://www.britishpathe.com/    It looks like they've changed their website some since the last time I was there. I suppose British Pathé "films" were top of the shop back then.

I suppose British Pathé "films" were top of the shop back then.

A lot of what you see on their site are newsreels, which were shown in movie theaters. That's how everyone saw important events and people come to life before TV. They managed to keep going for quite a while after the advent of television, until 1970, which allows us to see some great footage of the Beatles and other popular entertainers. I get on that site and totally lose track of time!

I hear you! TEH quality of some of the stuff is amazing.
I seem to remember we saw similar short features even in the early 70s at "the pictures" (ie. cinema!)
