I will indeed. I'm going to hold off for a bit until I can actually relax and watch it.  :)

Finally got around to it; the quality was better than I anticipated. The only other bootleg items I have are a handful of Who vinyls, and they're atrocious.

Get Back is far superior, naturally, but I enjoyed Let It Be as well, although it was a bit Paul-heavy for my taste.

I got a kick out of watching John and Paul goofing around with "Two of Us" early on in the film.

I'll have to wait to post more until I get on top of my deadlines and can gather my thoughts.

This is an old article (last December), so perhaps many of you have already come across it. I think it compares and contrasts Let It Be and Get Back quite nicely:

Another old article (again from last December), but it's a quick and fun read, so I wanted to share it: https://www.lamag.com/culturefiles/beatles-get-back-disney/

The very first section made me laugh:

What kind of idiot calls the police because the sound from a free Beatles concert — the band’s first in three years — is too loud? At the 1:39:34 mark of the third episode, PC Ray Shayler and another officer enter Apple Corps and tell doorman Jimmy Clarke that “…we’ve had about 30 complaints in the space of half an hour.” The Beatles were brilliant and Get Back should be 88 hours long, but the biggest takeaway from the series is that some people sure do hate fun.

I'm very glad Paul and Ringo pushed back on editing out the cursing and smoking:

with summer upon us, most things on tv are less interesting right now, thinking I will take a formal stroll through Get Back again

I broke down and bought a hat at the concert a few weeks ago, time to get back

This article is a few days old, meant to post it earlier, but time got away from me:

I think it's nice and Julian and Sean have such a close, positive relationship.

I've recently watched this for a 2nd time. And while the quality of the picture is awesome I don't really enjoy it that much.
It's interesting as a look at how they put songs together and I liked John and Paul's goofing around.
It's very sad imo though as a "fly on the wall" doco it shows that really only Paul wanted to actually be there, and do the show. (hard to know with Ringo as he says virtually nothing for 6 hours).
It's sad the others had lost interest.
It has an overwhelming sadness for me. Just like the original.

I grew up just listening to the released records. I think I'll just do that from now on. (the mono remasters).
