Teenagers have got to be the most frustrating creatures on earth.....How is it possible for them to be basically sweet, good kids and yet incredibly self-centered and obnoxious?? I'm so annoyed with my younger daughter right now that I'm tempted to go to her school and have her called out of class so I can confiscate her phone. My phone just beeped -- another text from her; she is STILL arguing with me! Arrrrrrgggh. 5dp

They sure are! I keep telling myself they're just acting like normal teenagers and that I know lots of people (like you, Dave!) who have survived raising them, with their sanity intact. I still have tearing-my-hair-out moments though.
I was a single dad for more than 6 years. My kids were 7 and 11 and WOW did I go thru it with my daughter sometimes. She is just like me and we could butt heads really well! It all works out in the end though. We're as tight as can be and talk almost every day. If you don't fight with them they don't think you care! So go ahead and have a good argument... they'll love you for it!
My hat is off to you, Dave! I am going to have to go back and re-read your post every now and then when I get particularly frustrated.
