This action comes off as being somewhat paranoid, but seeing as how John was killed and how George was nearly murdered, I don't blame Paul either. :-/

Actually I think it is quite common to do. I think that a lot of people in the city centre of Amsterdam also did it. Not everybody is happy with their house shown to the world. People need privacy.

I don't know why celebrities homes are even put on Google maps...unless some give their permission, although doing that probably wouldn't be smart.

I can't see the problem myself. Nobody would know it was his house. All it is, is a car taking a few pics as it drives past. Something that happens everyday outside that house. It's not as if it's a live feed. And isn't there a dirty great brick wall obscuring most of it anyway?
