Other than that Kathy how did you like the movie? ;) Seriously, I'm glad the sickness ended relatively quickly. You sure have had a tough go lately.

Thanks, Kelley! I actually got quite sick last night and missed yet another day of work today. I'm beginning to wonder if I have an ulcer or something, but I also realized that my diet is not terribly healthy, so that could be the culprit, too. In the meantime, it's hard not to feel physically ill at the thought of the huge work backlog that has piled up this month. (And I'm not even going to think about the holidays yet.)

I hope you -- and all forum members -- have been staying healthy.

I'm not a doctor (and I don't even play one on TV) but it sounds like it might be time to go see one. It also sounds like stress could definitely be playing a role or even be the star player here. I know what you mean about the diet thing too. I used to be able to eat anything, any time but now, not so much. I hope this can be resolved soon for you.

Argh, my daughters and I went back to see the early showing of it today, but they'd yanked it at the last minute in favor of The Hunger Games.  icon_mad

Saw Love and Mercy the other day.  Really enjoyed it.  They gave good prominence to the Wrecking Crew's role in Pet Sounds etc. I liked the actor who played Brian Wilson as a young man.

Walked out 1/3 of the way through. What a boondoggle.

Since I love the silent movie era I just have to share this picture from Thomas Edison's movie studio, circa 1914-15. He built the first one in the US, in 1893, according to the caption that was with this picture. Now I want to see the movie being filmed that day. LOL

I was bored the other day so I watched Pixels.  I'll never allow myself to be that bored again.

The Martian.  Only thing that bothered me were the potatoes grown from astronaut poop.  He was eating those like they were bons bons.

Then again - maybe it's a good idea.  Why not simply have farmers and their families/pets here on earth poop in their fields?  Think of all the tasty "organic" potatoes they would grow and they wouldn't have to spend a lot of money on fertilizer.  And they'd save on indoor plumbing because they wouldn't need toilets any more or waste filtration plants.  This is an idea whose time has come in my humble opinion.  I think environmentalists and green space people would love this.

What do you all think?  Maybe Paul would endorse it - he's a vegetarian you know.  It'd be a way for him to get back in the limelight, too.

Everest. Very depressing, but I'm looking forward to reading the book. I didn't quite catch all of the dialogue.

10 Cloverfield Lane. Really good, I thought! I was too tense to even eat my Milk Duds.   ha2ha  Seriously,  though; it was the best thriller I've seen in a long time.

It had a great soundtrack, too.

It's probably for the best. One good gasp and a person could need the Heimlich manuver!
