Sounds rough, Kev. ;) We've been talking about taking a cruise when the house is paid off in a couple of years. I'm glad I know an experienced ocean voyager who can advise me!

It's supposed to rain here too but not that much. Then I see some 80's in the middle of the week. Yuck.

It's hot here, too -- in the 90s, very unusual for our area. The winds, however, were so strong that the local water park had to close all the slides for fear of children being blown off them.

It feels like a tropical rain forest here. Yuck.

I hope it's cooled down for you a bit, Kelley, and that the dew point is lower.

It has Kathy, thanks. I'm actually sitting here freezing but I refuse to shut the windows. I don't know why. How is it there in NoDak? We've been having a lot of wind here too. I was eating on the porch Sunday when a big storm rolled in and blew the potato chips off my plate! I had to pick them up myself because the dogs were too nervous to do their usual clean up. LOL

The last day of a warm if not hot period over here in The Netherlands. In the coastal regions today almost 30C = 86F. In the south of the country temperatures could rise to 35C = 95F. That is pretty hot for these parts of the world. Thunder and rain expected and lower temperatures in the days to come.

I'm glad it's cooled down a bit for you! Temps here have been pleasant: sunny and high 60s/mid-70s, but it's been pretty windy. I feel bad for the folks roasting in the Southwest.

The muggies are back but I think that's going to improve. It's actually going to be quite chilly Tuesday and Wednesday. I just picked up a really nice window fan for my kitchen. It's in the window behind the sink and will really help. It's always hot in there, even when I'm not cooking anything.

We're predicted to be in the 90s for the next several days, including a high of 99 on Sunday. I ran all my errands a few days ago in anticipation of last week's heatwave; now I'll be forced to go out again -- for wine, if nothing else.  ;D

Oh wow, Kathy; that is dreadful! Wine will help though! I'm at the casino right now, wondering if we should stay for the fireworks at 9:30. It rained a lot earlier. At least we'll have a good meal, once the gamblers get that out of their systems. I'm sitting, waiting, because I can't stand all the smoking on the floor!

A forecasted high of 102 tomorrow; yuck! At least the kids and I are getting primed for our trip to South Carolina later this month, LOL. My elder daughter said one of her pals at school is from Las Vegas, and the first day the temps hit 20 he was piling on snow pants and a hat, etc. It's funny how you get accustomed to your own local weather. At 20 degrees here, people still wear shorts! Of course, with these high temps, everyone here is lurking inside. It's all relative, I guess.  ;)
