A book about Rory was recently released over here in The Netherlands, coming from a Dutch author. I will buy and check it out.

There might be an English translation coming up. I will however give you to most important things after reading the book.

In the book it's stated that Bill Harry let The Hurricanes down by not letting them win the famous poll, which put The Beatles on top and Rory & The Hurricanes on place #4. Rory seemed to have had the most votes, but because there were too many forms written with the same green pen, voting for Rory, these votes were called illegal. A pity for Rory, especially because other bands did the same thing of course.

Why didn't Rory and his band make it really big? 1. They were too limited musicians. 2. They stuck to rock & roll and the same repetoire when things were changing in other directions. 3. The Beatles stole their drummer.

There seems to be some more audio material from Rory and the band, rehearsal demo's. There's rumours it will be released later this year.
