There are 12 Beatles remastered albums in top 25 sellers at Amazon.com  :o
http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/music/ref=sv_m_3

As of now at Amazon (USA), the Beatles Rockband game for the Wii is #1 and the version for Xbox is #3 for video games.

The Beatles' stereo box set has rocketed up to #1 and the mono set is up at #2 for their music bestsellers. The remastered "Abbey Road" is #3.

Amazing, just amazing...

I gave Magical Mystery Tour and Abbey Road a few spins, my first impressions:

- First thing that came to mind: wow, was the bass guitar always this loud in the mix?
- It's amazing how much better, fresher and more lively the sound is. I think you can compare it to having listened to a tape copy of an album for years and then finally getting the real CD.
- Packaging (obviously) sure is a hell of a lot better than on the 1987 CDs. Great to finally have a decent booklet. LP replica sleeves (I believe the box sets do have those?) would've been even cooler though. And why isn't the lettering on the side the same? It's in regular type on MMT and on AR it's in bold and bigger. Nitpicking, I know, but I figure it would seem a bit inconsistent if you've got all the CDs in a row.

Has anyone listened to Help! in stereo? The songs really kick now but still I feel like in "Act Naturally"not much was done.  . . it misses that kick of the kick drum like in the other songs minus the "I can play the part. . .".  Great album to me. One of my favorite not "groundbreaking" albums.

Yeah , i have been listening to the Help one today and your right, i was actually comparing it to the
original cd and i have to say its ten times much better, much louder, crisper on sound, vocals are coming
through better! i'm even noticing little silly things like someone clapping throughout Ticket to Ride which
i never noticed before!  :o

Has anybody noticed that "We Can Work It Out" on the Mono Masters cd has varying levels of volume?  It starts with a boom and then immediately quietens and this happens at various points throughout the song.  It seems odd that it would have passed the various listening tests, not least the listening test carried out with Paul and Ringo in attendance!

Overall, I'm knocked out by the quality, both of the production but also Ringo's drums and Paul's bass, which really leaps out at you on the early albums.  It's interesting to note that there was almost a different snare drum sound on each album.

I've noticed Paul's bass playing more it's very heavy and pulsates through the songs .

As good as his choices are, buying music based upon the packaging is a bit daft!
