Fashion designer Stella McCartney has given birth to her first child.
The daughter of Sir Paul gave birth to an 8lb son at the exclusive Portland hospital in London. The former Beatle is thought to have already visited his grandson.
Victoria Beckham, Zoe Ball and Patsy Kensit have all given birth there.
A spokeswoman for 33-year-old Stella and her husband, Alasdhair, said: "Stella and Alasdhair Willis are thrilled with the birth of their happy and healthy baby boy in the early hours of February 25 in London.
"Both mother and son are healthy and resting."

Since Paul's daugther Stella is friends with Liv Tyler, daughter of Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, can't they get these two rock legends to do something.

Stella McCartney's Baby Gets Family Name
It's almost all in the family for Stella McCartney and her new son, Miller Alasdhair James Willis.
The fashion designer and her husband, Alasdhair Willis, turned to the McCartney family for the boy's third name, PEOPLE reports.
Stella, the son of ex-Beatle Paul McCartney, has a grandfather named James Paul McCartney, and a brother named James Louis McCartney. However, it was not clear where the name Miller originated. A representative for McCartney would not comment on the name.
Miller Alasdhair James Willis was born Feb. 25 in London. He weighed 7 lbs., 7 oz., and his mother is still recovering at an undisclosed hospital in the city. McCartney, 33, is unveiling a new line of clothing for 2006, which will show in Paris on Thursday.
"The Stella McCartney show will proceed as scheduled Thursday in Paris," her rep said, "even though Stella can't be physically present to take a bow."
McCartney is expected to be on maternity leave following her release from the hospital.

I remember a time where Stella said she was a virgin and that she'd always be that way.
Those were good times...

:D
congrats to the mccartney clan

Or since Stella is friends with your favorite, Madonna, we could get her and Paul to do smething together. ;)
I do NOT like Madonna as an artist so that's your mind going out of whack as usual.
-
I KNOW that you don't like Madonna, that was the whole point of the joke. You gotta learn to laugh at yourself man.

Wayne - a little winky face normaly indicates the message carries a certain amount of irony.

Hopefully Great Britain has allocated emergency funds for unemployment insurance for Stella McCartney's employees.
Here in the US, many employees in non-essential businesses are on unemployment insurance now. Emergency funding of the program is providing immediate unemployment benefits to furloughed workers. They are being paid the exact amount of their payroll wages prior to being laid off.
My office is open as I provide emergency care. My staff and I are working full time. I cannot to elective surgery at the hospital or office until restrictions are lifted by the Division of Consumer Affairs.

The taxpayer is paying her staff 80% of their normal wage, Beckham's are doing this also, it's up to the employer whether they apply for it. People are complaining because these people are very rich. It is really meant for struggling businesses.

Actually, the employees' taxes, which they've paid for years, are now being returned to them. Perhaps the British government should raise the unemployment benefits to 100% during the period of furloughs.
I don't see laid-ff workers here b****ing like this.

The thing is many rich employers are refusing to furlough the staff but are continuing to pay them 100%, businesses such as my football club.
They see it as morally the right thing to do, not to take money from the government that can be used in something like the NHS or care homes.
It's not the laid off workers that are complaining it's the public at large, they see this as morally wrong when employers such as these are very very rich. And could easily not take government handouts.
I guess we will not agree on this Barry.

I happen to agree with you, Kevin. I have not laid off my staff as we're considered essential healthcare workers. It's all hands on deck here and I've been on call to manage patients.
There are some large corporations here that have done just what you described. President Trump, in his daily press conference yesterday, called them out and their applications for payroll assistance will be denied.
In regard to Stella McCartney's businesses, is the general public complaining or just the employees of her firm that were laid off? We're not getting much news here about any of this.

The general public.
Then the general situation with unemployment benefits being paid to laid-off workers must be pretty grim in the UK to precipitate that kind of animosity. We're getting reports here of delayed unemployment benefits but we're not seeing protests against individual companies. The federal government has just infused funds once again earmarked for unemployment insurance.
