SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY FINDING IT HARDER TO BE FAMOUS

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY and wife Nancy Shevell showed their support for his daughter Stella’s Paris fashion show on Monday.They happily posed for photos but Sir Paul, 69, admits: “It’s never been as hard as it is nowadays to be famous.” The former Beatle said in an interview that sometimes his fans can be a bit much when he wants a quiet moment, though he understands people are eager to meet him and take photos.

Paul McCartney Rocks at Stella McCartney’s Show

Call me a sucker for a proud-daddy moment, but I felt the best part of Stella McCartney’s runway show came when Sir Paul McCartney leapt into the air and pumped his arms just as the designer took her bow.Sir Paul appears to have been more enthusiastic about the collection than I. It was quite nice—rich textures, expert tailoring in architectural man-cut coats, and a couple of smart printed suits—one with pants and the other with a skirt. I particularly liked a dusty pink knit skirt suit—cable knit and cozy. But it didn’t lead anywhere special.

Nancy showed off her slender figure in the modest but fun long-sleeved shift as she posed up with husband Sir Paul McCartney outside his daughter Stella's Fall/Winter 2012-2013 women's ready-to-wear fashion show.
