You speak the truth, Bobber. One day I looked down, and there were my mother's hands! At the end of my arms! Then all my sisters started sounding like her on the phone. It's freaky. Gotta love genetics. :)

Sorry to hear that PC. It was the opposite with me and my mother-in-law. I liked her just fine, but she never liked me. I don't feel bad about it because the reason she didn't like me was because I am Italian. I figure that people who are so closed minded aren't worth concerning myself over. Funny thing though, my wife was the youngest of the 3 kids, and the other 2 are divorced. My wife and I are together for life, there is no question about it.   :D So take that mom-in-law.

It's not really difficult. Click on 'quote' and a reply form will appear. Simply start typing underneath the quote block. That's all. Good luck.

Hmm...  I've been told that I have my father's personality too.  I guess I am like him, except maybe softer/more emotional.  I guess I got that part from my mom?

I lucked out with the MIL too.  She is a great lady and is like a second mom to me.

I can't imagine being married... let alone being a mom... I am too young for those things.... funny... not!

Sadly, we sort of forgot it was mothers day.... bad children eh? But I mean, we dont really celebrate Mothers days and fathers days... I mean I love my parents equally everyday

You're still young, though, you've got lots and lots of time to think about these things.   ;)  No hurry.

I'm totally fine with being married...my husband is my best friend, anyway.  But yeah, I can't imagine being a mom now.  I do feel too young and not ready enough for that.

I have to smile reading the old comments about turning into our mothers. I'm sure at one time I might have protested at that thought but it is happening to some degree and it's not bad at all. When I think about how much everyone loved my mom and what a kind and generous, not to mention goofy and fun person she was I wish I could be more like her. I don't think I'll ever be as nice as she was. She just never had a bad word to say about anyone...unless they hurt one of us kids that is! I miss her lots today and every day.

To all the moms on the Forum, a very Happy Mothers Day!

Thank you! I have a sad suspicion all three of mine forgot, or just don't care. I'm packing them off to their father's place after church so I can give myself a present: some quiet alone time.

I hope all the mothers on this forum have a beautiful day.

I'm sure they just forgot Kathy. Kids that age are prone to that sort of thing. I've had Mother's Days like that too but it's gotten better now that the kids are adults. Many things have gotten better! I hope you're enjoying your peace and quiet.
