Title: RIP Phil Spector
Post by: Normandie on January 17, 2021, 05:27:24 PM

Phil Spector has passed away at age 80 from natural causes:

Not sure how I feel about this.  :-\

I hadn't realized he was influenced by Richard Wagner, although looking back that makes perfect sense.

If I recall correctly, he was on the Beatles' plane as they flew overseas for their first trip to America.

Yes given how he ended up the normal RIPs don’t seem as appropriate. He was clearly a strange and screwed up individual.

Still he was  a huge figure in pop music and important in the Beatles story, so in that sense it’s sad that another giant has left.
