I wonder if John and Viv were mates ? they were of a similar age, Viv just 2 or
3 years younger than John. I think the Beatles loved the zany humour of the
Bonzos and of course Viv almost stole the show in Magical Mystery Tour.
I wonder if John saw a lot of himself in Viv, Viv was very eccentric,
very imaginative, a writer, an illustrator.....

I agree, they do seem like 2 of a kind. I know Neil Innes and Larry (Smith?) were friends with George Harrison. So much zaniness!

I think they were all into the goons, the bonzos, monty python type humour
right from the getgo.
