The lovely "child of God" Barbara.  Yes, Cor.  We went out a few times during the fall semester.  As I mentioned, we went to the same university but different campuses.

The college year 1969-70 was tumultuous here in the US.  It started out peaceful enough but ended with Kent State and all colleges being shut down.  That year radicalized me.  I was pretty active politically all that year and I got involved with a different crowd seeking political change.  The Peace Movement wasn't getting anywhere and some of us went the next step.  The summer of 1970 was the exact opposite of 1969.  We just went our separate ways.

But I think of her when any discussion turns to Woodstock.

8. Tim Hardin
(How Can We) Hang on to a Dream

I was shocked to hear this live version on the Woodstock box set. One of my all time favorite songs, performed by its writer in front of half a million people, and he completely butchered it. It's just painful, one of the very worst live performances I've ever heard by anyone.
