Yes, he had his great history of his Peace activities but he did have history of
beating people up in Hamburg  :-/
He admitted he could be a violent person at times but rather lived peacefully!

which reminds me of kurt cobain and nirvana, i don't think anybody would care about nirvana if kurt wasn't dead. now [at least in my country] everybody's like "omg why did kurt die  :'("] which is disgusting, because if he wasn't dead you wouldn't even know his name.
i'm not comparing kurt with john, but they have this in common imo.

KC died because he was screwed up and he killed himself. I can understand people saying 'why did John die'. They have absolutely nothing in common whatsoever.

I admire both John & Kurt even though they were different people, but their
music seems to have a strong effect on people & me.
John was a much more facinating artist to me than kurt though :-/
