Super 8.   Written and directed by JJ Abrams but this is a Speilberg coming of age film in a lot of ways along with the Sci-fi elements (don't want to give anything away if you haven't seen it).

OMG too scary for me !
I've had real run in's with ghosts! I find those movies scary but unpleasant. I look over my shoulder for a while after seeing one. Shiver!

I've had real run in's with ghosts!

The library where I work is said to be haunted by this guy, Smith Parish:

He built the original house in 1847. It was bought and converted to a library in 1909 by a Mr. Dusenbury. I think Mr. Parish might be ticked off that there is no picture of him hanging in the library but there's a huge painting of Mr. Dusenbury. I'd rather see what's there as he has a much more benevolent expression than Mr. Parish! I haven't run into the ghost but I think his energy is messing up the wireless signal to my computer. LOL

This movie was shot in the neighboring town that my wife grew up in (Weirton WV). Lots of friends as extras in this movie.

I might just try that! Probably what will happen is that the cat will sneak up on me and scare me.

We watched The Fighter with Christian Bale, Donny Whalberg and Amy Smart. What a Good movie! The funniest thing about it is that we have lots of relatives from that area and thats exactly how they are! It was like going to our family reunion every summer  (without the boxing, of course). Not yet anyway! My wife and I just cracked up through the whole movie! Loved it!

I finally got around to watching this holiday classic. It looked great in Technicolor, VistaVision and HD!

I just saw a movie called The Way Back with Ed harris and others. I liked it very much. About a group of men who escape from a work camp in 1939 Siberia and walk out through Mongolia to India.

My wife Nancy borrowed the whole Downton Abbey series from our neighbors. We'll be watching this for quite a while! It's very good.

Watched James Bond - skyfall. Brilliant! Great acting, beautiful actors and a nice plot with a twist! Watched it twice

The Hobbit - it was nice to get back into the whole lord of the rings atmosphere but the movie lacked in speech and plot. It was way too much fight scenes

You're the first whom I know who said Skyfall has a plot  :)
Anyway I'll give it a try when I get a Full HD version for my TV.

I watched "Cloud Atlas" lately. Amoung nice actors play there is no other worth. An empty movie: no new ideas, and what have to be said in it was said poorly.

Compare it with a very sincere and emotional french movie "Le papillon" (2002) or with a very funny animation "Despicable Me" - they are both marvelous  :)

I liked both Mr. Brooks and Panic Room, good movies! I just saw Arbitrage, which was really good, best movie I've seen in awhile.

Which one did you watch: the original or the remake? (And wasn't there a third remake lately?)  I love that movie.
