Restless Records Butchers The Beatles

Restless Records rounded up an all-star lineup of sorts to play on a heavy metal tribute album to The Beatles.

The label's Butchering the Beatles hits stores Oct. 24. The album, which recasts Beatles classics as shredding metal anthems, rounds up 50 of metal's veterans to play in ad hoc bands on each cover. Contributing musicians include the cool (Alice Cooper and Lemmy Kilmister), the shredding (Yngwie Malmsteen) and the downright laughable (Night Ranger's Jack Blades and Marco Mendoza of Whitesnake).
