That would p*ss me off if I was Billie Joe. It would make me feel like no one is listening, they just like it for whats on the surface. Most people are like that with Green Day. I have friends who don't even realize that Holiday is about Bush or that Blood, Sex, And Booze is about sadomasochism.

Maybe artists have a responsibility to take into account that some/a lot of people just take music at "surface value," instead of being disappointed/surprised when it happens. Just a different interpretation?

Yeah, but what if someone misinterpreted what Roger Waters meant in In The Flesh or what John meant in Getting Better. Wouldn't that hurt them?

Pachelbel's Canon in D. Mozart and Beethoven far exceed this work in composition and what not, but no other piece evokes a greater feeling of love. Honestly, when I hear this song all I can think about is love.

I want this damn song played at my wedding, my funeral and every other damn event I find a bit significant.

I know everyone in the world but me hates Styx but I think "Babe" and "Best Of Times" deserve a spot on there.

Les Fleurs by 4 Hero?! Right on! That's a gorgeous song. Lovely strings. Reminds me of 5th Dimension and Free Design. Pure sunshine pop goodness.

It's a Minnie Riperton cover. I've never heard the original, but apparently they sound almost exactly the same.

Ahh!!! I know the one you mean now. Great track...brilliant descending guitar riff if I remember correct. Minnie's voacals are incredible. I'll have to try and dig out the Giles Peterson INC CD that it is on. Thats a great album too.

Golden Brown is a classic. ;)
