Title: Favourite Song on Rubber Soul?
Post by: TenBobNote on July 08, 2004, 08:58:29 PM: I'd just like to know what everyone's favourite song on Rubber Soul is and why.
Mine is George's "Think for Yourself." I don't think this song gets enough credit. I hardly ever read anything about it saying how good of a song it is. I love the fuzz bass. It just has a really good groove to it.

Drive My Car is a good rock number that opens the album and features an interesting solo by George.
Norwegian Wood is another excellent song, the sitar fits perfectly in the song and I like the lyrics.
You Won't See Me is probably my favorite Rubber Soul as of now. It's hard to explain, but there's something that I love about the song.
Nowhere Man is a classic one and the official Boob song, so it's always one of my favorites ;D
Think For Yourself like you said it's very underrated
Wait, The Word and Run For Your Life have some good moments but I usually skip these songs.
Michelle is one of the most beatiful songs ever by Macca
What Goes On is the worst song of the album (sorry Ringo)
Girl and In my Life are two of the best Lennon songs as a beatle ever.
I'm looking through you is a catchy number but I like the anthology 2 version a little better
If I Needed Someone is the best George song in the album and one of the most underrated george/beatles songs

I do like "What Goes On", probably more than most, but i agree it is the weakest on the album.
"Michelle" used to be my absolute favourite Beatles song, not to mention Rubber Soul alone, but I just love Georg's voice on "Think for Yourself."
"The Word" is okay, like you said, but I love "Wait" and "Run for Your Life." Don't know why. I guess they just bring a whole other feel to the album, right at the end there that complements it nicely.
I couldn't agree with you more about "I'm looking Through You." I absolutely love the Anthology 2 version more than the album version.
