Since I asked about George and Ringo, it's time for Paul. Paul's library of songs is extensive, so one poll won't do. I'll tally up the votes as they come along.
My favorite Paul song is Let It Be. LIB is a big part of the reason I got into the Beatles in the first place. Paul McCartney has wonderful singing, backed up by a nice bass line, great piano, awesome Harrison solo, and wonderful orchestral backing. Go Let It Be :)

it's hard to pick one, but i'll have to say 'and i love her'. I think it has such a beautiful melody to it and i love the words.
-
I pick "And I love her" too...
I love that song ..the words are beautiful!!

Depends on the criteria for Paul's 'best' song.
These forums have already had some discussions about that. lol. A personal favourite is sooo tough to choose from.
Let It Be contains ultimate wisdom. We've talked about Yesterday. And I Love Her is amazing also.......hmmmm.....no good jus cannay do it. Oh Darling, Mother Natures Son, Hey Jude, Golden Slumbers.....just don't know. What about whittling it down to 1 song from each album and then poll??? Otherwise I'll leave this post as useless as it is for an opinion. lol (And I know I've left out loads of corkers!!!!lol)

*and anytime you feel the pain, Hey jude refrain, dont carry the world upon your shoulder*
absolute brilliance. Let it be is also a personal fave, but Jude beats it.

LET IT BE LET IT BE LET IT BE!!!
That song just does it for me. I must have listened to it at least 400 times since I was a kid and it still gives me goosebumps. I LOVE it!!! But the version on the Let it Be album is best. I like the loud guitar. I'm actually listenting to it right now for the 401st time!!

My vote is: Hey Jude (just because I'm listening to it right now)
His singing on Oh Darling represent the most powerful vocals in rock history, in my opinion, but Hey Jude beats it for me... Such excellent vocals in that song, as well...
-
My vote is a tie between Let It Be and Here, There, and Everywhere.
LIB is a beautiful song. It has a beautiful message and I consider these lyrics to be his best ever, including anything in his solo career (of course!).
HT&E is just one of those little maudlin-type songs that works perfect for Paul. His voice and the melody are so affecting for me. I adore both of these songs by him. They are, together, my favorite song by Paul. And then Calico Skies and a few others would trail behind.
Oh, and I get sooooo annoyed by Hey Jude. I can't stand to hear it anymore. Its annoying and I don't think its one of his best, for me. But, hell, that is the beauty and art of being an individual- you got your own preferences for everything.

there are so many good songs by Paul, but I'll go with Helter Skelter.
-
id have to say let it be too. great, great song :)
-
Let it be is paul at his best
which is very good
LET IT BE

Well, a lot of votes are going for Let It Be and Hey Jude.
An Apple Beatle makes a good point and is something I'll do. I'll make a poll for each Paul song on each album and poll it. Thanks for the idea.

I'm going to say For No One-No Yesterday
-
For me it's a tie between Let It Be and Yesterday. Although, For No One, is a great one, too.
