Sometimes it falls upon deaf ears though. Some people arent going to like them regardless, which is fine because everyone has their own taste, but to say they suck is pretty dumb. I hate Aerosmith and Van Halen, but will admit that they can play their instruments and compose decent tunes. Some people are ignorant when it comes to music and they dont understand it. These people are the ones that you might as well give up before trying. Its like arguing with a kid,,,"why dont you like them?,,,,,,,well, just because." You get my drift. Sure, there have been many musicians more skilled and no doubt there will be many more to come, but they just cant seem to be able to write those songs that make the Beatles magic.

Yeah, I love converting people too. I got an eight year old into the Beatles. Now he's saving up his money to buy a CD. Ya gotta get 'em while they're young.

C'mon folks, surely we speak too harshly.
If it weren't for the ever rebellious 14 year old, stance akimbo, middle finger defiantly in the air, where would we be now? wearing knickerbockers and doing the Charleston no doubt.
I admit to having a handful of Beatle arguements up my sleeve, but I never get caught up in the old "my bands songs are better than your bands song" thing.
The Beatles are about more than just songs.
If I can make a non-believer leave with nothing more than a quiet appreciation of how they made rock and roll what it is today I consider my job done.
And I always do.

Yeah, uhm, pop punk confuses me because, well, wasn't punk invented as an alternative to pop? Bands like Good Charlotte bastardized a great genre.
