I dont think an album on the whole i think more like certain tracks did like Twist and Shout, I Saw Her Standing There, Please Mr Postman, All My loving, A Hard Days Night, Cant Buy Me Love and lots more.

PPM defined the 60's beat group thing - tight performances and playing live... WTB brought a step forward in terms of songwriting and innovationand AHDN did the same thing again whilst defining that early 60's pop music ethos. They all are great. I think BFS represents the start of the change. You can feel them itching to go in another direction (Im a Loser\I Dont Wanna Spoil the Party/No Reply) but whilst still retaining the pop formula (Every Little Thing/Eight Days a Week). 'Help' I think is the final shredding of the pure pop tunes (Ticket to Ride/Help/Yesterday are huge leaps forward in terms of sound and content whilst being nestled alongside tracks such as Its Only Love) and from Rubber Soul onwards thats where the groovy thing started ... yea babay!

All the tracks on every album are performed and executed to perfection though. I can have myself a 'Beatle Bliss' moment to Please Please Me or With the Beatles just as easy as Rubber Soul and Pepper...  its all good!

A Hard Days Night is Beatlemania, which is the one thing above all others that the band will be remembered for. It would have to get my vote

Please Please Me defines the first half of their careers just as Revolver defines the second.

if you had to choose just one, HDN for me.  i think it'd be famous and influential to this day even if the b's had broken up in '65.
