Amazon Kindle Touch
« on: August 01, 2012, 10:59:40 AM »

They just brought me Amazon Kindle Touch
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005890G8Y
along with Black Leather Cover.
It came in 13 days from the US through one Russian company   cheer1

I love this device! It is so handy, touch screen is very good and reading is easy to my eyes. And also I have already downloaded some free books including Russian. All in all I recommend it to everyone who loves reading.

Anyone already has it?

I bought my wife one for Christmas last year and she absolutely loves it. She reads from it all the time and takes it everywhere. Like you 'D', I highly recommend.

Yes, this thing is marvelous. It is very handy. I was thinking of buying it since maybe a year ago. I like paper books and I was not sure if I can give them up. But there is too many paper at home. Now there is no need to carry heavy books with me while I go to work. A couple of things that cause inconvenience is: 1) Lack of Cyrillic keyboard and as a consequence there is no searching through Russian e-books; 2) There is no some really great books in e-book formats, for example, I have 10 volumes of Goethe works in paper, but there is no such books on the Internet; and it would took much time to convert it from hardcover book to e-book.

And do you see text on iPad screen with such a bright and hot sun in Australia, Kev?  roll:)
As far as I know, readers with e-ink are very good in the sunlight. Yesterday I got added evidence of that. As about LCD, it is not good in the sunlight.
That's why I preferred to buy e-ink reader.
