My neighbor told me that when he saw this in the theater all the girls were screaming, just like at concerts. He didn't get to hear much else.  Of course that was in 1964! It will neat for you to see it on a big screen.

When there used to be "Beatlefest" in Los Angeles, they would show all of the films on the big screen.

I have been fortunate to go to two premiers as well. In 1988, I went to the premier of "Imagine-John Lennon" (The Andrew Solt Film) and then in 1990 (I think) I went to the LA premier of "Paul McCartney's-Get Back".

It is a cool experience to see these films on the big screen. It is much more than seeing them at home. The fun part of seeing them at home is you can hear, and you never think, "I wish that person would shut up!" and no one thinks that of you as you are reciting all of the dialog.

Now imagine taking your nine year old sister to the theater to see A Hard Day's Night in 1964.

I did that twice!

Gary, I was 14 at the time and recruited by my parents to take my sister to the theater.  There were a lot of older brothers there who, like me, would have rather been elsewhere.  But we had a good time watching all these 9 through 15 year old girls carrying on the way they did.

At that age, I preferred these guys...

It didn't matter much if it was live in a cellar or on film in a theater.

That's a great song. The video might give me nightmares though.  ;D
