Another one of my favorite Buford T. Justice quotes is "When you raid the cathouse, you take the piano player too!"  ha2ha

I read once that Jackie Gleason didn't like to rehearse.  They had a script to study, but what we saw on TV was testimony as to how great they all were as actors.

Oh, I love that "Time Enough at Last" TZ episode w/Burgess Meredith! The Simpsons spoofed it once. My kids love that one, too. We're always amazed at what a b-tch the wife is. Plus, I love to read, so I can totally identify.  ;)

I've gotta get back into watching this on Netflix. I like the one about the mannequins and there's one that my brother once told me about with John Astin that I want to see. I'm glad you mentioned this!

Oh, yeah, I love that one with the mannequins. (Well, like Beatles songs, I like almost all the TZs!)

I had no idea John Astin was in one of the episodes -- actually, one of the ones I just watched (again) during this most recent marathon. I didn't recognize the name, so I Googled it, and now I'm frustrated because I've seen that episode ("100 Yards Over the Rim") several times and never recognized him.

I know what comes next...

"I had a crush on Carolyn Jones."

"I saw her first."

"I saw her first in my dreams."

I mean I can see how walking around with a vulture can turn some men off.  But Ophelia, daughter of Polonius, was loyal and sweet...

And Jean Simmons was gorgeous...
