The Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery reveals the history of America throughout the generations of individuals who help to shape its culture through each of their unique contributions. Ed Sullivan posed for a photograph with the Beatles during their rehearsal for the first live Beatles’ U.S. television debut.
