I've read about 3-D printers but I never saw one in action until I went to the dentist today. He actually made my new crown right in his office so no walking around with a temporary one for two weeks. Very cool!

Wow; really? I need to read up on this stuff. When I read or hear printer, I automatically think "paper."

I'm encouraged to hear this because I have a feeling I may need a crown (or two) when I see the dentist next in August. Last time I had a crown put on, they had a trainee working on me: She keep pressing it on and prying it off until I thought I was going to scream. All I could think of was James Herriot's chapter about his pre-RAF dental visit. <cringe>

That's really something! I read about this but did not know it was so far along. This technology could/has change everything. We just don't know how far!

I'm not sure how common these are Kathy. My dentist seems to always have the latest thing. I hope if you do need the procedure this is available because it was the easiest crown I've ever had done.

That's cute, Dave. When I was a senior my Trig and Probability teacher wore a pink dress shirt every single day! I always wondered if was the same one or if he just had several.

I'll keep my fingers crossed! The dental practice I go to seems to be at the forefront of technology, so....I guess I'll find out in August.   :)

You'd have to look at the pits to see how deep the stains were. Lol!

I wonder if you could figure it out using what he taught in Probability?!

Well, it was said with a bit of annoyance actually. When something reminds me of a song, which happens all the time, I'm prone to expressing it by singing that song or making up my own words to fit the circumstance. I had just done it for about the third time in 5 minutes. My kids hate it when I sing. LOL
