That's a shame to have had the opportunity, and never taken advantage of it. There's so little Rory Storm to be had.

Interesting picture that. The background looks like the Star Club in Hamburg and on the right is Tony Sheridan? Plus there is the Beatles' basedrum, presumably from Pete's drumkit. Wasn't this picture discussed on Chazz Avery's site?

They broke the stage at the Kaiserkeller, this looks more like the Star Club. But on the other hand, Pete left his kit behind when he and Paul where sent home in December 1960 after they set a condom on fire in the Bambi Kino. But the drummer (the black guy?) is not playing on Pete's kit. A bit of a mystery to me. Why should Chazz swipe pictures?

I've read that in late 1961 Ringo got the idea of moving to Huston, Texas to be a factory worker.

Apparently he was frustrated with the fact that his band was not really going anywhere, after having played with them for a few years.

He wasn't looking forward to a third summer season at Butlins?

Has anyone read any more about that? (the Raving Texans)

Why Texas? Was he into John Wayne or John Ford?

He wanted to be a cowboy.
